Love this. I remember when my dad taught his Rottweiler, Baby, how to say grace. It was so cute she would lay on the ground with her paws out front and bow her head until my dad said Amen.
Sometimes I’ll be singing a song that is so catchy and so fun, but then I realize the words that I’m saying and i’m like “oh snaps, did I just say I was gonna lick him like a lollipop?” Then I look around to make sure no one around me thought I was talking to them. It’s hard to find good sounding music that makes you wanna move your body without having to look around to make sure young children, elderly or a random bus load of nuns are not present. Sometimes I just bump my music while i’m driving down the street or in my hotel room getting ready for a show and I don’t care who hears me singing along. (sometimes off key and sometimes making up my own words because they say them too fast for me to figure it out) Well check it, I found a band that is so dope, so fun, and straight up legit. I was so honored to appear on the “Lopez Tonight” show. I have been a fan of George Lopez for a while now. He was actually the first comedy CD that I ever owned. Before I even knew I wanted to be a stand up comic, I was listening to him make me laugh. I was able to bring along some friends to the taping. Gilbert Saldivar is a good friend of mine that I have known for about 5 years now. He is a super talented dancer. You may have seen him on tour or in music videos with artists such as Jennifer Lopez, Christina Aguilera and Janet Jackson just to name a few. I brought My homegirl DJ Angie Vee. You know her from my Comedy Central special, “That’s How We Do It.” This girl is super duper talented. She spins records, is a dope graffiti artist and an awesome friend to have. I brought my brother Kennie who is a dope hair stylist. He does my hair for all my events. He also keeps me on my A game when it comes to jokes. A lot of Bon Qui Qui is my brother Kennie. haha. My boo boo Jeff Jarwin is my make up artist. He is the BEST make up artist I have ever had the privilege of working with. Jeff is based in Sacramento but I keep tryna get him to move to LA so I don’t have to fly him everywhere! You’ll notice Super Crew in the video. They are one of the dopest crews out there. “Do Knock” of Super Crew is one of the best, most charismatic b-boys around. I had a great time that day, it was so much fun. This past weekend was the 25th annual Imagen awards held at the Century Plaza Hotel in Beverly Hills, CA. I was honored to be nominated for Best Supporting Actress for my work in “Our Family Wedding” What a honor to be recognized by your peers for doing something you love. I recently spent a couple weeks in Fort Lauderdale and West Palm Beach Florida. Sometimes when I’m on the road I don’t know anyone in the city and it can be pretty boring and lonely. Thankfully I had some friends to hang out with! @aubreyanne, @Derick_G, Tiffany, @Ciphasounds, Big Kev, Joel B. and I made some new friends. Of course we had to do the South Beach night life scene on one night, and then we ventured to the Everglades the next day. I felt like I was on a National Geographic show or at least on the intro to C.S.I Miami. It was so much fun and a great experience for the books! My homie Derick G was there to capture it all on video for us.

Guess what I bought today?! Toilet paper yes, but I also bought, “Our Family Wedding” on DVD! I’m excited to see all the deleted scenes and the gag reel. I had so much fun working on this movie with such amazing people. I miss seeing them all everyday even if it was at 4am in the hair and make up trailer. For those of you that didn’t get to see the movie in theaters, now is your chance to pick up a copy! Rewooooh!
